Facilities
All of our private rooms are provided with linen and towels. We have a well equipped farmhouse style kitchen that is free to use for all guests. Bathrooms are shared between guests.
Fully equipped farmhouse kitchen
In our kitchen you will find everything you need to whip up a gourmet meal after a big day out. You can cook with gas or electricity. We provide everything from wine glasses, plates and kitchen-scales to baking dishes. Next to the kitchen is a herb garden where you will find fresh herbs to add to your meals. We also have a dishwasher to make cleaning up easier.
Outdoor dining and BBQ area
Dine under the grape vine in a lovely courtyard setting. A great place to make new friends. We also have a gas BBQ for you to use.
Surfboard hire
$20/day includes a wetsuit to keep you warm. Surfing is fun - you can also get lessons. See our surfing page. Non guests can hire boards+ wesuite for $30 for half a day
Giant sand dunes
Climb up the giant sand dunes and enjoy the stunning views and amazing sand formation. There are giant dunes here in Ahipara and up North at Te Paki. You can hire sand boards at Te Paki to slide down the dunes.
Full laundry facilities
European front-loading washing machines available. During dry summer months this service is not available

Eco-friendly
At ESL we try to be kind to the environment. We reduce waste by recycling. We also collect rainwater for our use. Hot water is heated by the sun and most of our washing is dried by the sun and wind as well.
